- The shipping mode is a way of shipping the goods. It is the combination of a shipping company and shipping service offered by that company.
- Example: Aramex - Express, Aramex - Domestic, Blue Dart - Air, etc…
- The shipping modes are visible to the customers in the storefront for selection during the checkout. If a 'shipping mode' is used in multiple 'shipping codes', and those 'shipping codes' are associated with a single product, when any user opts that 'shipping mode', the combined charges will be applied to that product. Hence, care must be taken while association.
How do I create the new shipping modes for my web store?
To create the new shipping modes for your web store, do the following:
- Log in to the 'Anywhere Commerce Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.
- You will be navigated to the 'Dashboard' page.
- Click the
icon. The Dashboard & Setup section will be displayed as shown in the figure.
- Click Shipping Profile. You will be navigated to the Manage Shipping Codes page.
- To add a new 'Shipping Mode', click 'Add New Shipping Code' button in Available Shipping Modes section. This will route you to Add/Edit Shipping Codes page.
- By default, the first shipping mode of the 'Select Mode' drop-down will be selected and displayed above the 'Select Mode' drop-down. You can delete it later if not required.
- Click Down Arrow '
' of the Select Mode drop-down. You can find the 'Shipping Modes' that are configured at your store for integrated logistics providers such as - Aramex, Blue Dart, Blue Dart API, AFL wiz, and DTDC etc here.
- You can also find the 'Add New' button below the shipping modes.
- Click Add New. You will be displayed a Shipping Mode Settings dialog box.
- Enter the name of the new shipping mode in the Mode Name text box.
- Enter the description of the new shipping mode in the Description text box. This is just for your reference.
- To save the changes, click Save. The new shipping mode will be added to your web store and it will be listed in the Add/Edit Shipping Codes page as shown in the figure.
- Similarly, add as many 'Shipping Modes' as you want. The newly added 'Shipping Mode' (Example - 'Blue Air' will be displayed in the Available Shipping Modes section.
