How do I define/add a new custom brand for my store?

To define/add a new custom brand for your store, do the following:

  • Log in to the 'Anywhere Commerce Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.

  • You will be navigated to the Dashboard page.

  • Click the  Define Custom Brands icon. The Products section will be displayed as shown in the figure.

  • Click Masters and select Brands. You will be navigated to the Masters > Manage Custom/Repository Brands page.

  • There are two tabs here, namely, Custom Brands and Repository Brands.
  • By default, the Custom Brands tab will be opened and the previously defined custom brands (if any) will be displayed.
  • To add a new custom brand, click + Add New Brand. You will be displayed a Add Brand dialog box.

  • Enter the 'order of display' of this Brand in the Rank text box.
    • Note: This rank can also be used to display the order of Brand in the 'Refine Search' drag & drop control.
  • The Brand ID is a unique reference code for this brand and it will be automatically generated after saving the brand.
  • Enter the name of the brand in the 'Brand Name' text box.
  • The following fields will be used in the Search Engine Optimization:
    • Enter the title of this brand page in the Page Title text box.
    • Enter the Meta tag description about your brand in the Meta-Description text box for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) purpose.
    • Enter the Meta tag keywords of your brand in the Meta Keyword text box for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) purpose.
    • Enter the keywords for your brand URL in the URL Key Rewriter text box for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) purpose. The same keywords will be inserted in that brand URL and helpful in SEO.
  • To save the changes, click Add. Your custom brand will be saved and you will be displayed a success message.
