How do I create an Ad-hoc/custom form?


Procedure:

To create the Ad-hoc/custom form and upload it in the repository, do the following:

  • Log in to the 'MartJack Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.


 Ad-hoc Forms

  • You will be navigated to the 'Dashboard' page.


 Ad-hoc Forms

  • Click the  Ad-hoc Forms icon. The Design & Content section will be displayed as shown in the figure.

  • Click Ad-hoc Forms. You will be navigated to the Ad-hoc Forms page.


 Ad-hoc Forms

  • You can find out the available Ad-hoc forms (if any previously created) in the List of Forms in the web repository section.
  • To create a new form, click Add New Form. This will open an Add New Ad-hoc Form page.


 Ad-hoc Forms

  • Enter the form code in the Form Code text box.
    • Note: This form code will appear in the Select Form drop-down (if 'Form Type' is selected as 'Normal') of the Edit Form Control section while configuring the 'Form Control' Drag & Drop control.
  • Enter the success message to be displayed to the end-user on completing of this Ad-hoc form, in the Success Message text box.
  • Enter the email address of the primary recipient from your side to whom a message to be sent on completion of this form by end-user in the To text box.
  • Enter the email address of the secondary recipient from your side to whom a message to be sent on completion of this form by end-user in the CC text box.
  • Enter the email address to whom a blank carbon copy of the form to be sent on completion of this form by end-user in the BCC text box.
    • Note: Use a comma to separate multiple email address
  • Enter the XML code for creating Custom Fields in the XML text box of Form Template section and click Save. If the merchant has XML knowledge, then there is no limitation for the art of creating Custom Fields.
  • Note: To know sample XML code, click Sample XML.

  • To display the Ad-hoc forms in the storefront, the Form Code should be exactly inserted at Page id in the XMLCode as shown in the figure.


 Ad-hoc Forms

  • You can create various options for customizing a product through respective XML code in an 'Ad-hoc' form and associate that form to respective products. You can vary the product price by some fixed amount or by specific percentage on web price as per the product options selected. Please refer: Display Options for Product Customization in Product Details Page for further details.

  • Sample code for making Ad-hoc Form pricing to work on percentage base: <LISTITEM Percentage=“10” value=“Express”>Express</LISTITEM>
  • Sample code for making Ad-hoc Form pricing to work on amount base: <LISTITEM price=“50” value=“Express”>Express</LISTITEM>
  • Note: Instead of adding 50 /- here we are adding 10% of product web price in percentage based calculations
  • You will be displayed a relevant success message and the newly created 'Ad-hoc Form' will be displayed under the List of Forms in the web repository section.


 Ad-hoc Forms

  • The Ad-hoc form will be now saved in the repository as shown in the figure.
