How do I create the time bound local deals?
- To create a 'time bound local deal', do the following:
Let's create a 'Local Deal' through the following easy steps:
1. Create a deal category:
- Create a deal category is similar to creating a product category. You can also use same categories that were created for products.

2. Create the images for deal product

3. Create an offline campaign, and associate it with the fulfillment services:

4. Create a section page:
- Section pages are required to display the Deals and Deal Details.

5. Create the custom fields (optional):

6. Create a time bound local deal:
7. Create & Upload the additional content (Documents) to the 'File Manager':
- Documents such as How it works, Overview, Product Tour, Specifications, Menu, and Terms and Conditions, which are in the pdf, html, and swf form are added to the products and displayed in the 'Deal Details' page.

- Documents such as How it works, Overview, Product Tour, Specifications, Menu, Terms and Conditions etc… in the pdf, html, and swf form are associated to the products and displayed in the 'Product Details' page.
- To associate documents (i.e. additional content) to the deals, do the following:
- Log in to the 'Anywhere Commerce Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.
- You will be navigated to the Dashboard page.
- Click the
icon. The Products section will be displayed as shown in the figure.
- Click Deal List. You will be navigated to the Local Deal List page.
- Search the Deals Products through the required multiple options provided here. You will be displayed the existing Deals as per your search criteria.
- Click Additional Content '
' icon of the respective deal under Actions column. You will be navigated to the Product Additional Content page.
- To upload a document, select 'Document' from the 'File Type' drop-down.
- Select the type of document as How it works or overview or Product Tour or Specifications or Menu or Terms and Conditions from the 'Content Type' drop-down.
- Enter the name of the file in the 'File Name' text box.
- Enter the display sequence of this additional content in the 'Sequence' text box.
- Note: Sequence should unique within the each 'File Type'.
- Click 'Add New File'. The document will be associated with the product and you will be displayed a relevant Success message.
- Similarly, add the required documents. The associated Content Type tabs will be displayed in the Deal Details page for displaying the relevant content.
8. Design Deal Page (Section Page):
- To display 'Deal Products' (or Deals) and 'Deal Product Details', you need to configure 'Product Showcase' in the 'Section' page, which is mapped with 'Deal Product'.
- Note: You can design the page for displaying a 'Single Deal' or Multiple Deals.
i) :
- If you want to display single Deal, do the following:
- Log in to the 'Anywhere Commerce Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.
- You will be navigated to the 'Dashboard' page.
- Click the
icon. The Dashboard & Setup section will be displayed as shown in the figure.
- Click Design Home Page. You will be navigated to the Drag & Drop Controls page.
- Select the Section Page in which you have configured the Deal from the Home » Design your Site » drop-down in the Drag & Drop Controls page.
- Drag and drop the Product Showcase control into the suitable pane as shone in the figure.
- Click Edit button on the right top corner of Product Showcase control. You will be displayed Product Showcase dialog box.
There are two sections in the Product Showcase:
- Configuration: In this section, Design and Display settings are mostly covered.
- Parameters: In this section, the products are mapped.
By default Configuration tab will be opened and Basic section will be displayed.
- For displaying the 'Deal details', select Showcase Extended from the Showcase Type drop-down.
- You can edit the Image Height and Image Width (if required) in the corresponding text boxes accordingly.
- Now you need to edit the values of Box Height (Grid View) and Box Width (Grid View) text boxes accordingly.
- To edit Box Height (Grid View) and Box Width (Grid View), click Design tab. The Design section will be displayed as shown in the figure.
- Enter the height of the box for grid view in the Box Height (Grid View) text box.
- Enter the width of the box for grid view in the Box Width (Grid View) text box.
- Now you need to map your 'Deal Product' (or Deal) with the showcase. To do so, click the Parameters tab. The Parameters section will be displayed as shown in the figure.
- There are two methods for mapping the products:
- i) Basic: Directly adding the products through the Basic tab. In 'Basic' section, the products are mapped by physical selection through 'Categories' or 'Brands' or 'Product Groups' or 'Recommendation Groups' or 'Product Tags' or by entering/selecting 'SKU'.
- ii) Advanced: Adding products through Advanced tab. In this section, the products are mapped through XML Code.
- Note: At any point of time, you can configure products either through Basic or Advanced tab only.
- By default, the Basic section will be opened.
- Select the Deal Category in which the deal products are exclusively mapped from Products in your Store section.
- To transfer selected items from the Products in Your Store column to the Products Added to Showcase column, click
.
- The selected items will be transferred to Products Added to Showcase column.
- To save the configuration, click Update. The Product Showcase dialog box will be closed and you will be navigated to the Drag & Drop Controls Page displaying the configured Product Showcase.
- Note: Please refer Product Showcase for rest of the configuration.
- To preview the 'Deal', click Preview. The deal will be displayed in Storefront as shown in the figure.
- To upload the Deal to your site, click Publish.
ii) :
- If you want to display multiple Deals, do the following:
- Log in to the 'Anywhere Commerce Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.
- You will be navigated to the 'Dashboard' page.
- Click the
icon. The Dashboard & Setup section will be displayed as shown in the figure.
- Click Design Home Page. You will be navigated to the Drag & Drop Controls page.
- Select the Section Page in which you have configured the Deal from the Home » Design your Site » drop-down in the Drag & Drop Controls page.
- Drag and drop two 'Product Showcase' controls into the two panes (Left Pane and Right Pane) as shone in the figure.
Configuring Showcase placed in Right Pane:
- Click Edit button on the right top corner of Product Showcase control which is in Right pane. You will be displayed Product Showcase dialog box.
There are two sections in the Product Showcase:
- Configuration: In this section, the Design and Display settings are mostly covered.
- Parameters: In this section, the products are mapped.
By default Configuration tab will be opened and Basic section will be displayed.
- Ensure that Basic Showcase option is selected in the Showcase Type drop-down.
- You can edit the Image Height and Image Width (if required) in the corresponding text boxes accordingly.
- Now you need to edit the values of the Box Height (Grid View) and Box Width (Grid View) text boxes accordingly.
- To edit Box Height (Grid View) and Box Width (Grid View), click Design tab. The Design section will be displayed as shown in the figure.
- Enter the height of the box for grid view in the Box Height (Grid View) text box.
- Enter the width of the box for grid view in the Box Width (Grid View) text box.
- Now you need to map your 'Deal Product' (or Deal) with the showcase. To do so, click Parameters tab. The Parameters section will be displayed as shown in the figure.

- Select Self Product option from the Purpose drop-down. By selecting this option, when the user clicks a deal in the 'right pane', then the respective 'Deal Details' will be automatically displayed in the 'Left Pane'
- Note: When you select Self Product option from the Purpose drop-down, then the Parameters tab will be made inactive. This means you can't do the Products mapping through Parameters tab.
- To save the configuration, click Update. The Product Showcase dialog box will be closed and you will be navigated to the Drag & Drop Controls Page displaying the configured Product Showcases.
- Note: Please refer Product Showcase for rest of the configuration.
- To preview the 'Deal', click Preview. The deal will be displayed in Storefront. When the user clicks on an image of the right pane, the respective deal details will be displayed in the left pane as shown in the figure.
- To upload the Deal to your site, click Publish.
9. Design the navigation for the deal page:
- You can design a tab on the Navigation bar for the display of 'Local Deals' (Section page/Deal page).
