• The attributes are the specifications of a product such as the Pixels of CameraStand-By time of BatteryTouch screen feature of phone, etc…

  • 'Attributes' are added to 'Categories', and 'Attribute values' for those attributes are given for each applicable product.

  • You also can define 'Predefined Values' from 'Category Management » Attribute Management' and select respective values at 'Product level'.

  • Attribute Values are the values for the attributes.
    For example, if Pixels of Camera is an Attribute, then 2 Mega Pixel (M.P.), 3 M.P., etc… are Attribute Values.

  • 'Attributes' are added to 'Categories', and 'Attribute values' for those attributes are given for each applicable product.
  • Predefined Attribute Values means, the value of those attributes are predefined and you need to select one out of them while adding attribute values to the products.

    • For example, if Pixels of Camera is an Attribute, then 2 Mega Pixel (M.P.), 3 M.P., etc… can be predefined as Predefined Attribute Values. You need to select the relative value while adding attribute values for each product under that category.

How do I define the 'predefined attribute values'?


To define the 'predefined attribute values', do the following:

  • Log in to the 'Anywhere Commerce Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.


 Attribute Management

  • You will be navigated to the Dashboard page.

  • Click the  Category Management icon. The Dashboard & Setup section will be displayed as shown in the figure.

  • Click Category Management. You will be navigated to the Manage Product Categories page.

  • To view or manage the attributes, click  Category Management icon of that category under the Actions column. You will be displayed the following section.


 Attribute Management

  • The available attributes (if any) are displayed in a grid. You can add new attributes or edit existing attributes here.
  • If there are no added attributes, you need to add the attributes first. Pl refer: Define Attributes for Custom Categories
  • To add the predefined attribute values, select the checkbox in the Predefined column. You will be displayed the ' Category_Management' icon beside the checkbox.

  • Click the  Category Management icon. You will be display the following dialog box for adding the 'predefined attribute values'.

  • Click Add New Row. A new row can be added as shown in the figure.

  • Enter the Attribute Value in the Attribute Value column.
  • Note: The attribute value will be displayed in the Product Details page and in the Refine Search as shown in the figures.
  • The attributes having the predefined attribute values only visible in the Refine Search control. Whereas, all attributes with both the custom and predefined values will be visible in the Product Details page under the 'Features' Tab.
    • Let's see the 'attribute's and 'attribute values' in the 'Product Details' page as shown in the figure:

  • Let's see the 'attributes' and 'predefined attribute values' in the 'Refine Search' Drag & Drop control as shown in the figure:

  • Enter the 'Description' in the Description Column.
  • To add the image, click the  Category Management icon and you will be navigated to an Image Picker dialog box displaying the images of the User Images folder.

  • Double-click on a suitable image and the respective image title will be selected in the Image Name text box.
  • Enter the 'order of appearance of Attribute Values' in the Rank column.
  • Enter the 'reference code' in the Ref Code column.
  • To delete an entry, click the  Category Management icon.
  • If you want to add another predefined value, you need to add a new row again. To add a new row, click Add New Row. Add another attribute value (if required) as explained.
  • To save the changes, click Save. The dialog box will be closed and the values will be saved.
  • Click Save in the Manage Product Categories page. The attributes with respective predefined values will be saved and you will be displayed relevant success message through a dialog box.


 Category Management

  • Click OK on the dialog box. The dialog box will be closed.
