• Survey questionnaire is playing a key role in finding out the customer’s profile.

  • The questions should be relevant to your business and should bring out the fashions & requisites of your customer for preparing niche products by a stylist.

  • You should define relevant options (answers) for each question and map SKUs for each option so that when the user selects a particular option, the mapped products will be displayed in the user's Personalized Showcase.

  • You can find out the list of questions prepared for the survey and can edit or delete the questions from here.

How do I define questions & answers and map the products for displaying in the user's personalized showcase?


To define questions & answers and map the products for displaying in the user's personalized showcase, do the following:

  • Log in to the 'MartJack Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.

  • You will be navigated to the 'Dashboard' page.

  • Click the  Personalization icon. The Apps section will be displayed as shown in the figure.

  • Click Personalization, and select Add Questions. You will be navigated to the Personalization > List of Questions page.


1. Defining Questions:

  • Click or mouse over Personalization tab and select Add Questions tab. You will be navigated to Personalization > List of Questions page.
    • Note: Prerequisite:
      • You can view Personalization tab under Apps module only when you have installed 'Personalization' app to your store and your request for the same would have been approved by our Admin.

  • Verify the previously created questions (if any) under List of Questions section.
  • To add a new Question, click Add New Questions button. You will be navigated to Personalization > Add/Edit Question page.

  • Select the applicable recommendation group from the Select Recommendation Group drop-down.
  • Enter the question in the Question text box.
  • If you want to make answering this question is must then select the Mandatory checkbox.
    • Note: If 'Mandatory' is selected, the user can't SKIP' the question.
  • Enter the question code in the Question Code text box.
  • To specify the minimum number of options (answers) to be selected for this question, enter the value in the Min. Option Selection text box.
    • Note: If the question is 'Mandatory', the Min. Option Selection should be above '0'.
  • To specify the maximum number of options (answers) that can be selected for this question, enter the value in the Max. Option Selection text box.
  • You can display the help content (or) videos for this question. To do the same, click Click Here link. You will be displayed Help Editor dialog box.
    • Note: The 'Help Editor' dialog box is a WYSIWYG (What You See is What You Get) editor and whatever style you enter here is displayed as it is the same.

  • Enter the help content or upload video in the Help Editor text box and click OK. The Help Editor dialog box will be closed.
  • To complete the process of adding a question, click Save. The question will be added and you will be informed that “There are no options available for the questions. Add New Option

2. Defining Options (Answers):

  • To add new options, click Add New Option link of Personalization > Add/Edit Question page after creating question. You will be navigated to Personalization > Add/Edit Options page.
    • Note: You can also navigate to Personalization > Add/Edit Options page through: Apps » Personalization » Add Questions. Click Edit  Personalization icon of the question to which you want to add options and click Add New Options.

  • Note: Options are the selective preferences (or answers for the question) for the survey questionnaire and should match your products catalog to enable you for suggesting personalized recommendations from your store. The SKUs for each option are to be associated with the relevant category, brand, attributes values, and variants for displaying the personalized showcase.
  • Enter the name of the option in the Option Name text box of Define Option Details section.
  • Enter the order of display of this option in the Sequence text box of Define Option Details section.
  • You can also display image for the option. To select the image, click Browse. You will be displayed Image Picker dialog box displaying the images of User Images folder of File Manager


 Personalization

  • Double click on the suitable image. The dialog box will be closed and the respective image name will be displayed in the Option Image text box.
  • To display the option image, select the checkbox stating that “Display Option Name”.


3. Asociating SKUs for each option to display in the Personalized Showcase:

  • Now you need to associate relevant SKUs for each option to display in the user's personalized showcase. You can do the same through Product Tagging section of Personalization > Add/Edit Options page.
    • Note: The SKUs for each option can be associated through the selected Category or Brand or Attributes Values or Variant Values or combination of these options. But, if the combination is used, then those products only will be associated which are meeting the combined criteria.
      For example, If you select some categories, and Brands, then the products common to those Categories and Brands will only be associated.
  • To associate SKUs through Categories, click Browse button of Selected Categories section. You will be displayed Select Categories for Mapping dialog box.


 Personalization

  • Navigate to required Categories and select them. Click OK. The dialog box will be closed and the names of the selected Categories will be displayed in Selected Categories section.
  • To associate SKUs with attribute values, click Browse button of the Selected Attribute Values section. You will be displayed Select Attribute Values for Mapping dialog box.

  • Navigate to the required 'attribute values' and select them. Click OK. The dialog box will be closed and the names of the selected 'Attribute Values' will be displayed in Selected Attribute Values section.
  • To associate SKUs with variant values, click Browse button of the Selected Variant Values section. You will be displayed Select Variant Values for Mapping dialog box.


 Personalization

  • Navigate to required 'Variant Values' and select them. Click OK. The dialog box will be closed and the names of the selected 'Variant Values' will be displayed in Selected Variant Values section.
  • To associate SKUs through Brands, click Browse button of the Selected Brands section. You will be displayed Select Brands for Mapping dialog box.


 Personalization

  • Navigate to the required 'brands' and select them. Click OK. The dialog box will be closed and the names of the selected 'Brands' will be displayed in Selected Brands section.
    • Note: If the combination options are selected, the products falling under those combined options are only associated.
  • To save the option, click Save. The respective option will be saved and displayed under Option List section of the Add/Edit Question page.
  • Similarly, add as many as options for this question and associate relevant SKUs.
