• Burning the Reward Points literally means redeeming the 'Reward Points' by the customer at time of purchase towards the cost of the order.

  • Reward points earned by the customer can be redeemed at checkout on subsequent orders through Wallet checkout option or saved up for future larger purchases.

  • You can configure the 'Burn points' settings with your customized rules from here.

To configure 'Burn Points Mechanism', do the following:

  • Log in to 'MartJack Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.

  • You will be routed to 'Dashboard' page. Click Apps module.

  • Click or mouse over Reward Points tab and select Burn Mechanism tab. You will be routed to Reward Points > Burn Points Configuration page.
    • Note: Prerequisite:
      • You can view Reward Points tab under Apps module only when you have installed 'Reward Points' app to your store and your request for the same would have been approved from the MartJack:

Display 'Wallet' Payment Option while checkout:

  • To facilitate burning the 'Reward Points' option to end-users, select the checkbox stating “Enable burning of reward points by unlocking additional Discounts” in 'Enable Burn Mechanism' section.
    • Note: By selecting this checkbox and saving the configuration, Wallet payment option will be displayed in Step-4 of Single Page Checkout page.

Wallet

  • Wallet: Wallet Payment option allows the end-users to use (burn) the cash value of 'Reward Points' for purchasing the products.
  • Customer can know the 'Wallet Balance Used' (i.e. the Cash Value of 'Reward points' used for purchase) and 'Remaining Wallet Balance' (if wallet balance is excessive than required amount) or 'Outstanding Amount Payable After Wallet' while checkout. (i.e. in Step-4 of 'Single Page Checkout' page)

  • If the cash value of the reward points (Wallet) is less than Order amount (even after the usage of 'Discount Voucher' (if any)), then the user can opt Other Payment Options (if available) such as Gift Voucher or PayBack or any one of the following options for the rest of the amount as per your configurations:
    • i) offline options such as Cheque/DD, Online Bank Transfer or COD
    • ii) online options such as Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking


Show maximum discount can be availed (by burning reward points) in showcase:

  • To display the maximum discount that can be available by using reward points against mapped products in the showcase, select the checkbox stating “Show maximum discount can be availed (by burning reward points) in showcase” in 'Enable Burn Mechanism' section.


Enable Wallet Pin:

  • Wallet Pin is used to make sure the correct users while using wallet during checkout.
  • To enable the 'Wallet Pin', select the checkbox stating Enable Wallet Pin.
  • By selecting this checkbox, Wallet Pin textbox will be displayed in Step-4 of the Single Page Checkout page while using Wallet.

Generation of Wallet Pin:

  • Wallet Pin can be generated in two ways:
    • i) By Merchant
    • ii) By User
  • i) Generate Wallet Pin through CP (By yourself):
    • To generate the Wallet Pin, navigate to Member Details page of the required user to whom you want to send 'Wallet Pin' (Customers » Member Profile » Click 'View' button of 'User Profile' » Click on the 'User Name' of required user.)
    • You can find Generate Wallet PIN button if you have selected the checkbox stating Enable Wallet Pin in Reward Points » Burn Points Configuration page as discussed above.

  • Click Generate Wallet PIN button. The 'Wallet Pin' will be generated and will be mailed to the respective user. You will be displayed a relevant Success message.
    • Note: The email template used for sending the 'Wallet Pin' is coming from our database.

  • ii) Generate Wallet Pin through 'My Account' section of Storefront (By User):


Let's see how user can generate 'Wallet Pin'

  • User can modify the existing 'Wallet Pin' (if any) or generate new Pin from 'My Account Section'
  • User needs to navigate to the 'My Account' section in your storefront.
  • User needs to click Wallet tab in My Account section.

  • User can find the details of 'Reward Points' in Overview section.
  • To change the Wallet Pin, user needs to enter Old Pin, New Pin and Confirm Pin in respective text boxes and click Submit. The 'Wallet Pin' will be changed accordingly and the user will be displayed relevant Success message.
  • If the user has lost/forgot the 'Wallet Pin', then the user can generate new Pin by clicking Reset Pin button. Then new 'Wallet Pin' will be generated and will be sent to registered mail of the user.

  • Note: The email template used for sending the 'Wallet Pin' is Reset Wallet PIN


Formula for Calculating the cash value of Reward Points while burning:

  • You can define how much base currency is equal to how many 'Reward Points' at your site.
  • Enter the currency value in first textbox and equivalent 'Reward Points' in the second textbox.
  • To save the 'Burn Points' configuration', click Save'. the 'Burn Points' configuration will be saved accordingly and you will be displayed a relevant Success message.

Include/exclude Shipping/Tax Cost with Wallet: i.e Allow/deny the Shipping/Tax Charges to be paid off with Wallet

  • To allow the user to use 'Wallet' (i.e. Cash value of Reward Points) for 'Shipping Cost' also, select the checkbox stating Include Shipping Cost as shown in Figure. To exclude the same, don't select the checkbox.
  • To allow the user to use 'Wallet' (i.e. Cash value of Reward Points) for 'Tax Charges' also, select the checkbox stating Include Tax as shown in Figure. To exclude the same, don't select the checkbox.

2. How do I configure maximum discount that can be availed by using 'Wallet' (i.e. Cash value of Reward Points)?

  • You can define the maximum discount that can be availed by using Wallet (i.e. Cash value of Reward Points) in two ways:
    • i) You can define common discount across complete Catalog
    • ii) You can define unique discounts for the selected products or categories


To configure maximum discount that can be availed by using Wallet (value of Reward Points), do the following:

  • Log in to 'MartJack Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.
  • You will be routed to 'Dashboard' page.
  • Click Apps module, click or mouse over Reward Points tab and select Burn Mechanism tab. You will be routed to Reward Points > Burn Points Configuration page.

  • Navigate to Set up Max Discount to be unlocked section.
    • Note:
      • Here you can define the maximum discount that can be availed through Wallet (i.e. by burning the 'Reward Points').
      • There are two options for you for defining this maximum discount:
        i) Common discount across complete catalog
        ii) Unique discount for selected Products or Categories.


i) Common discount across complete Catalog:

  • To define common discount across complete Catalog, select For Complete Catalog radio button.
  • Enter the maximum discount that can be unlocked through Wallet (i.e. cash value of 'Reward Points'), in the Discount textbox in terms of % on Web Price.


ii) Unique discounts for the selected Products or Categories:

  • To define unique discounts for the selected products or categories, select For Particular Product or Categories radio button
  • Now you need to download the excel format and fill-up the respective data and upload the same again. To do the same, click Download. Then DiscountProducts.xlsx file will be downloaded.
  • To open the DiscountProducts.xlsx, double click on it and the excel file will be opened and displayed as shown below.

  • To define discounts to specific SKUs, enter the same in SKU column.
  • To define the discounts to specific Categories, enter the respective 'Category Reference Codes' in Category Reference Code column.
    • Note: Either SKU or Category Reference Code column to be filled.
  • Type: It represents the type of entry that you have mentioned in first or second column. If you have entered SKUs, then enter p in Type column, or, if you have entered 'Category Reference Code', then enter c in Type column.
  • Enter the maximum discount that can be unlocked by using 'Wallet' (i.e. cash value of 'Reward Points') in terms of % on Web Price in Max Discount column.
  • Save the file and click Choose File button. You will be displayed Open dialog box.

  • Select the updated DiscountProducts.xlsx file and click Open. The respective file will be selected and dialog box will be closed.
  • To save the configuration, click Save. The maximum discount that can be availed by using Wallet will be configured accordingly and you will be displayed a relevant Success message.
