• Earn Points are the 'redeemable Reward Points' awarded to customers for their purchases and for some specific actions at your store such as registration, inviting others to register, submitting product reviews, etc…. to promote customer loyalty and increase sales.

    • Note: You can configure unique points for same events as per the 'User Group' that a customer belongs to.

How to do 'Earn Points Configuration'? (or) How do I configure 'Earn Points Mechanism'?


To configure 'Earn Points', do the following:

  • Log in to 'MartJack Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.

  • You will be routed to 'Dashboard' page. Click Apps module.

  • Click or mouse over Reward Points tab and select Reward Points tab. You will be routed to Reward Points > Earn Points Configuration page.
    • Note: Prerequisite:
      • You can view Reward Points tab under Apps module only when you have installed 'Reward Points' app to your store and your request for the same would have been approved from the MartJack:

Earn Points Mechanism:

Sometimes, it is possible to have a same user in multiple 'User Groups'. So, in those circumstances, you can configure the methodology of earning the reward points as follows:
  • If the same user is available in multiple groups, then you can configure (or restrict) earn points for an event as follows by selecting a suitable option from 'Earn Point Mechanism' dropdown. The following are the available options:
    • Sum: The sum of all points mapped to concerned groups will be added to the end-user.
    • Min: The minimum points among all concerned groups will be added to the end-user.
    • Max: The maximum points among all concerned groups will be added to the end-user.
To save the configuration of Earn Points Mechanism, click 'Save'
You will be displayed a Success Message.

Configure Earn Points Settings:

  • Navigate to Configure Earn Points Settings section.
  • Now you need to map occasions or events with number of points to allocate the points to specific Group of users.


 Reward Points

You can define for which event (action) on your webstore, the user should be awarded with 'Reward Points'. Select an event for which you want to give 'Reward Points' (to end-user) from 'Event' dropdown. The available options are:
  • Post Messages on Facebook Wall
  • Registration
  • Successful Order
  • Tweet
You can vary the 'Reward Points' to be given for the same event as per the user groups. Select the user group to whom you want to allot 'Reward Points' for the above selected event from 'User Group' dropdown.
Select the type of configuration range for differentiating the points from 'Configuration Type' dropdown. The 'Configuration Type' varies with the selected event.
  • If the event is Post Messages on Facebook Wall, you will get the options of 'Configuration Type' as Friends Count Range/None.

  • Note:
    • If you select Friends Count Range, then you will be displayed From and To textboxes for entering the No of Friends along with the Point textbox for entering points.

  • Else (i.e. if you select None option), you will be displayed only Points textbox for entering the points.

  • If the event is Registration, you will get the options of 'Configuration Type' as Registration Date Range/Referral/None.

  • Note:
    • If you select Registration Date Range, then you will be displayed From and To textboxes for entering the Registration Date along with the Point textbox for entering points.

  • Else (i.e. if you select Referral or None options), you will be displayed only Points textbox for entering the points.

  • If the event is Successful Order, you will get the options of 'Configuration Type' as Order Date/Order Value Range/Referral/Percentage.

    • If you select Order Value Range or Referral, then you will be displayed From and To textboxes for entering the Order Value along with the Point textbox for entering points.

  • If you select Order Date, then you will be displayed From and To textboxes for entering the Order Date along with the Point textbox for entering points.

  • Else (i.e. if you select Percentage option), you will be displayed only Percentage textbox for entering the percentage.
  • Note The 'percentage' here is the percentage of 'Order Value'. In this case, first the amount will be calculated based on the specified percentage of 'Order Value' and then the respective number of reward points will be allotted corresponding to that amount.

  • If the event is Tweet, you will get the options of 'Configuration Type' as Followers Count Range/None.

  • Note:
    • If you select Followers Count Range, then you will be displayed From and To textboxes for entering the No of Followers along with the Point textbox for entering points.

  • Else (i.e. if you select None options), you will be displayed only Points textbox for entering the points.

  • By this you came to know that, you can find the 'From' and 'To' textboxes along with 'point' textbox for entering the respective 'Range' and 'points' (or) you can find either Points or Percentage textbox as per selection of 'Event' and 'Configuration Type'.
  • Enter the relevant range as per the selection of Configuration Type in 'From' and 'To' textboxes and enter the points to be awarded in Point' textbox.

(or)

  • Enter the respective value in Points or Percentage textbox as per selection of 'Event' and 'Configuration Type'
    • To add one more row of specific range (if you are entering Range) and 'Reward Points' to be given, click ' Reward Points'.
    • To delete a row of specific range and 'Reward Points' to be given, click ' Reward Points'.
  • To save the changes, click Save.
  • You will be displayed a relevant Success Message.

How do I configure Reward points for Referrals?

  • Referral Marketing: Referral marketing is a structured and systematic process to maximize word of mouth potential. Referral marketing does this by encouraging, informing, promoting and rewarding customers and contacts to think and talk as much as possible about their supplier, their company, product and service and the value and benefit the supplier brings to them and people they know.

  • Referral marketing takes word of mouth from the spontaneous situation to one where maximum referrals are generated.

  • Here you can configure reward points that the users get for the occasions when:

    i) the invitee registers through the link sent by user before the expiry of the session and without changing the browser after clicking the link.

    ii) the invitee makes first Successful Order after registration before expiry of the session and without changing the browser after registration.

  • After configuring the points, you need to create 'Referral Page', which allows the end-user to refer your webstore to the end-users' friends, relatives, know people, etc…, and view the referral request status. The respective end-user will get 'Reward Points' when the invitee 'Registers' or 'Purchases' (first Purchase only) at your webstore.

  • You can also configure the email template that is used for sending invitation to the invitee by the user


To configure the 'reward Points' for 'Referrals', do the following:

    • Condition: The user will get Reward Points only when the invitee registers through the link sent by user before the expiry of the session and without changing the browser after clicking the link.
  • To save the configuration, click Save. The reward points configuration will be saved and you will be displayed relevant success message.
  • The configured event will be listed under List of configured events section.

Configure Earn Points for 'Successful Order':

  • Select Successful Order from Event dropdown.
  • Select the applicable user group from User Group dropdown.
  • Select Referral from Configuration Type dropdown.
  • Enter the 'order value range' and 'reward points' that you want to give to the user of selected group upon placing the 'first successful Order' at your webstore by the respective invitee in From/To and Point textboxes respectively.
  • To add one more row of specific range (if required) and 'Reward Points' to be given, click ' Reward Points' and enter the range and points accordingly.
  • Condition: The user will get Reward Points only when the invitee makes first Successful Order after registration before expiry of the session and without changing the browser after registration.
  • Similarly add as many ranges and corresponding reward points as you required.
  • To save the configuration, click Save. The reward points configuration will be saved and you will be displayed relevant success message.
  • The configured event will be listed under List of configured events section.

Configure Template for Referral Mail:

  • You can configure the email template that is used for sending invitation to the invitee by the user.
  • Navigate to Referral Mail Setup section.

From Email:

 Email Templates

Select an email from which you want to send this mail from the From Email dropdown.
  • Note: All emails configured through SMTP Configuration will be displayed in this dropdown.

Enter the subject to the mail in Mail Subject textbox.
To get an email to yourself, when the user sends an invitation to the invitee, select the checkbox email to Me (Merchant)
You can enter the customized email template in the textbox (i.e. 'WYSIWYG - What You See Is What You Get' editor) or you can use default template.
If you want to use default template, click Use Default Template. The default template will be fetched in the textbox.
  • Note:
    • You can also edit the 'Default Template' as per your requirement.
    • The information about Invitee, site name, store name etc… will be retrieved through relevant Tags, such as  Reward Points etc…
    • You should add only known Tags for retrieving relevant information.
To send an email to invitee, select the checkbox Send Mail to end user
