• The 'SMS Preferences' interface facilitates you to define on what occasions, and to whom the SMS to be sent (i.e. to you & other persons defined by you, to your end-usersVendors, and the Role-based Store Operators such as the Retailers).

  • You can configure your mobile number and two additional optional mobile numbers of your wish like Store Manager and Central Customer Support Number for receiving the SMS on the configured occasions.

1. How do I configure the SMS preferences to me & persons specified by me, to 'end-users', to 'Vendors', and to 'Role-based Store Operators' (such as 'Retailers') on different activities at my Web Store?


To configure the SMS preferences to you & persons specified by you, to 'end-users', 'Vendors', and to 'Role-based Store Operators' (such as 'Retailers') on different activities at your Web Store, do the following:

  • Log in to the 'MartJack Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.

  • You will be navigated to the Dashboard page.

  • Click the  Provider Configuration icon. The Marketing section will be displayed as shown in the figure.

  • Click SMS Management, and select SMS Preferences. You will be navigated to the SMS Management > SMS Preferences page.

  • Navigate to the Preferred mobile number(s) for receiving SMS section.

  • Firstly, you should define your mobile numbers to receive SMS. To define your store numbers for receiving the SMS, click Edit. You will be displayed text boxes for mentioning your mobile number and two additional mobile numbers such as the Store Manager and Central Customer Support Number for receiving the SMS on the configured occasions.
    • Note:
      • Entering merchant's preferred mobile number in the Mobile Number text box is Mandatory. Other two numbers are optional.
      • You can mention the two additional numbers such as your Store Manager and Central Customer Support Number for receiving the SMS on the configured occasions.

  • Enter the relevant SMS Preferred Numbers in the Mobile Number, Add mobile Number 1, Add Mobile Number 2 text boxes along with Country Code (i.e. for India, Country Code = 91).
  • To activate 'Add mobile Number 1', 'Add Mobile Number 2', select the respective checkboxes and click Save. Your SMS preferred mobile numbers will be saved and you will be displayed a relevant success message.
    • Note: Entering merchant's preferred mobile number in the Mobile Number text box is Mandatory. Other two numbers are optional.

Defining SMS Preferences on specified events:

To define SMS Preferences on specified events, navigate to the Select the Preferences section.

  • Select the SMS preferences from the Select the Preferences section.
  • To send the SMS to your customers on selected events, select the checkboxes of required events under the My Customers column.
  • To receive SMS to your preferred number and other two additional optional numbers (if configured by you) on selected events, select the checkboxes of required events under the Me column.
  • To send the SMS to your role-based store operators (such as retailers) on selected events, select the checkboxes of required events under the Role Based column and select the required roles through their corresponding multi-select dropdowns.

  • To send the SMS to the respective Vendors (i.e. in case you are also selling Vendors' Products) on selected events, select the checkboxes of required events under the Vendor column.
  • Note: SMS facility for the following events is available as of now.
    • User Registration
    • Credit Card
    • Cheque/DD
    • Online Bank Transfer
    • COD
    • Order Dispatched
    • Order Delivered
    • Order Cancelled
    • Order Refund Initiated
    • Order Refund Completed
    • Send SMS post order pushed to ERP or POS system
    • Order Transfer
    • User login registration otp
    • Pickup Authorize
  • To save the SMS preferences, click Save. Your SMS preferences will be saved and you will be displayed a relevant Success message.

2. How do I edit the SMS preferences of my Web Store?


To edit your SMS preferences, do the following:

  • Log in to the 'MartJack Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.

  • Edit the relevant SMS Preferred Numbers (if required) in the Mobile Number, Add mobile Number 1, Add Mobile Number 2 text boxes along with Country Code (i.e. for India, Country Code = 91).
  • To activate 'Add mobile Number 1', 'Add Mobile Number 2', select the respective checkboxes and click Save. Your SMS preferred mobile numbers will be saved and you will be displayed a relevant success message.
    • Note:
      • Entering merchant's preferred mobile number in the Mobile Number text box is Mandatory. Other two numbers are optional.
      • If the other two preferred numbers are already configured and you want to delete them, clear the respective checkboxes in Add Mobile Number 1 and Add Mobile Number 2 sections.

  • Edit the SMS preferences (if required) from the Select the Preferences section.
  • To send/stop the SMS to your customers on selected events, select/clear the respective checkboxes under the My Customers column.
  • To receive/stop the SMS to your preferred number and two other additional optional numbers (if configured by you) on selected events, select/clear the respective checkboxes under the Me column.
  • To send/stop the SMS to your role-based store operators (such as retailers) on selected events, select/clear the respective checkboxes under the Role Based column. To modify the roles (if required), select/clear the required checkboxes in the respective multi-select dropdowns under the Role Based column.
  • To send/stop the SMS to the respective Vendors (i.e. in case you are also selling Vendors' Products) on selected events, select/clear the respective checkboxes under the Vendor column.
  • To save the SMS preferences, click Save. Your SMS preferences will be saved and you will be displayed a relevant Success message.

3. How do I customize the SMS messages at my Web store?

  • Note: You can customize SMS templates only if you are using platform supported SMS providers other than MartJack.
  • You can customize your SMS messages, by customizing respective SMS Templates.
  • Navigate to the Select the Preferences section.

  • To do so, click the respective  SMS Preferences icon of that event under the Actions column. You will be navigated to the SMS Management > SMS Events - Templatization page.

  • You can customize the SMS templates used to send SMS to you, and end-users as per your requirement.
  • To customize the SMS template used to send SMS to you, select the to me (Merchant) checkbox under the Send to Me(Merchant) section and enter the SMS in the corresponding text box.
    • Note: You can view the default template by clicking the respective Use Default Template button.
  • To customize the SMS template used to send SMS to end user, select the to end user checkbox under the Send to End User section and enter the SMS in the corresponding text box.
    • Note: You can view the default template by clicking the respective Use Default Template button.
  • To save the changes, click Save. The changes will be saved and you will be displayed a relevant success message.
