1. How do I create the FTP imports through the Anywhere Commerce control panel to facilitate the automatic data uploads from my FTP/SFTP locations?
To create FTP imports through the Anywhere Commerce control panel to facilitate the automatic data uploads from your FTP/SFTP locations to the Anywhere Commerce control panel, do the following:
- Log in to the 'Anywhere Commerce Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.
- You will be navigated to the Dashboard page.
- Click the
icon. The Products section will be displayed as shown in the figure.
- Click Catalogue Importer, and select FTP Importer List. You will be navigated to the Catalogue Importer > FTP Importer List page.
- You can verify the previously created FTP imports (if any) under List of Imports section.
- To create a new import, click Add New Import. You will be navigated to the Catalogue Importer > FTP Configuration page.
There are two tabs here, namely, Configuration, and Mapping. By default, the Configuration tab will be opened. Select a type of Import from the Type drop-down. The available options are:
- Catalogue: This option is used for catalog update including product addition.
- Stock: This option is used for stock/inventory update
- Price: This option is used for price update
- StocknPrice: This option is used for both stock/inventory and price update
- Shipment: This option is used for book shipment update
Enter the reference code for this import in the Ref. Code text box.
Enter the IP address of your 'FTP/SFTP location' in the Address text box.
Enter the port of your 'FTP/SFTP location' in the Port text box.
Enter the path of your 'FTP/SFTP location' in the FTP Path text box.
Select FTP or SFTP from the Server Type drop-down when you are configuring your FTP or SFTP location respectively.
Enter the username for your 'FTP/SFTP location' in the Username text box.
Enter the password for your 'FTP/SFTP location' in the Password text box.
Enter the name of the folder of your FTP/SFTP location in which you want to archive the files after the data is updated in your Control Panel, in the Archiv Folder text box.
Select the type of the file (i.e. CSV or TSV) that you want to upload from your FTP or SFTP location at the Delimiter drop-down.
Select the frequency of file to be uploaded from your 'FTP/SFTP location' from the Frequency drop-down.
- Note:
- The data from the file uploaded to your FTP/SFTP location will be captured through a specific service run by us very frequently and updated at Control Panel. After that, the respective file will be moved to respective archive location as defined in this FTP importer list.
- When you update some data and upload those files again to the respective FTP/SFTP folder, the data will be captured and updated at Anywhere Commerce control panel as per the frequency defined by this FTP configuration.
You can also get notifications through an email about upload status when the files from your FTP/SFTP folder are uploaded to Anywhere Commerce control panel. To get such notifications, select the Notify status checkbox. Whenever files from your FTP/SFTP folder are uploaded to the Anywhere Commerce control panel, you will get an email with the upload status as shown in the following example.
- To save the configuration and proceed further, click Save and Next. Your FTP configuration will be saved and you will be displayed a relevant success message. You will be navigated to the Mapping tab.
- Map the product fields of the file(s) that is uploaded at this FTP/SFTP location in the Mapping section, with the predefined product fields of the Anywhere Commerce control panel so that the product data is updated automatically in the predefined intervals as per the defined frequency. Upload a sample file (in a .tsv or .csv format) of the files that are uploaded to this FTP/SFTP location and map its product fields with predefined product fields of the Anywhere Commerce control panel.
- To upload a sample file click Browse. An Open dialog box will be opened.
- Select the required file and click Open. The dialog box will be closed and the name of the selected file will be displayed in the Select file text box.
- Click Import. The fields of your sample product file will be imported under the User defined Values column of the Mapping Product Fields section.
- Select the corresponding field from the Predefined Values against each field of the User Defined Values and click Save. The product fields mapping is now completed and you will be displayed a relevant success message.
- Note: Mapping of mandatory fields is compulsory.
- The newly created import will be listed under the List of imports section in the Catalogue Importer > FTP Importer List page.
- Note: The Last Run and Next Run timings are mentioned against each import as per the defined frequency. The 'Last Run' indicates the latest time of data captured from your respective FTP/SFTP location by a special service run by us and the 'Next Run' indicates the future time at which our special service looks for data in your respective FTP/SFTP location.
2. How do I find the status of my FTP imports to the Anywhere Commerce control panel?
To find the status of your FTP imports to the Anywhere Commerce control panel, do the following:
- Log in to the 'Anywhere Commerce Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.
- You will be navigated to the Dashboard page.
- Click the
icon. The Products section will be displayed as shown in the figure.
- Click Catalogue Importer, and select FTP Importer List. You will be navigated to the Catalogue Importer > FTP Importer List page.
- You can verify the previously created FTP imports (if any) under the List of Imports section.
- To view the FTP import status, click the
icon of the respective upload under the Action column. You will be navigated to the Catalogue Importer > Task History page.
- You can find the upload status in detail here. If any failures during the upload, you can find the
icon under the Actions column.
- To navigate to the error logs page, click the respective
icon under the Actions column. You will be navigated to the Bulk Tools > Error Logs Summary page.
- Review the error messages. To view more details, click the
icon under the Action column. You will be displayed the View Details dialog box.
- Review the errors, rectify the data and upload the file to your FTP/SFTP location.
