How do I create a stock adjustment?
Manually Adding SKUs:
To create a stock adjustment, do the following:
- Log in to the 'MartJack Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.
- You will be navigated to the Dashboard page.
- Click the
icon. The Products section will be displayed as shown in the figure.
- Click Stock Management, and select Stock Adjustment. You will be navigated to the Stock Management > Stock Adjustment page.
- Click Create Stock Adjustment. The following section will be displayed.
- Select the location at which stock needs to be adjusted, from the Location drop-down.
- Click Add SKU. The following fields will be displayed under the Stock Adjustment Details column.
- Select the mode of adjustment from the Adjustment Mode drop-down.
- To increase the stock, select the Increase Stock option for increasing the stock.
OR
- To decrease the stock, select the Decrease Stock option for decreasing the stock.
- Enter the SKU of the product in the SKU/Variant SKU text box.
- Note: In the case of a variant product, enter the 'Variant SKU' here.
- Click the Select link under the Shelf column. The Select Shelf dialog box will be opened.
- Select a shelf in which the stock to be adjusted and click Submit. The dialog box will be closed and the name of the selected shelf will be displayed under the Shelf column.
- Note: You can change the shelf (if required) by clicking the change link.
- Enter the reason for stock adjustment in the Reason text box.
- The available stock of the selected shelf will be displayed under the Current Stock column.
- Enter or select the quantity of stock to be adjusted in the Adjustment Qty. column.
- To update the stock adjustment, click the
icon under the Actions column. The stock will be updated and the final stock will be displayed in the Revised Stock column. You will be displayed a success message.
- Note: You can also close or cancel this stock adjustment by clicking the
icon under the Actions column.
- Now, the stock adjustment will be saved as the draft mode and you can edit or delete the stock adjustment or SKUs of stock adjustment as per your requirement before confirming the stock adjustment. Once the stock adjustment is confirmed, you can't edit or delete it.
- Similarly, you can add more products to this stock adjustment by clicking the 'Add SKU' button and following the procedure as explained above.
- After all the required SKUs are added, and the stock adjustment is final, click Confirm. The stock adjustment will be confirmed. And you will be displayed a relevant success message.
- Note: You can also confirm the stock adjustment in a later stage by clicking the
icon of the stock adjustment under the Actions column in the List of Stock Adjustments section.
- Then you will be navigated to the Stock Management > Stock Adjustment page. You can navigate to the newly created stock adjustment through the available search options and you can find the status of stock adjustment as Confirm.
- You can 'view' or 'print' or 'download' the stock adjustment by clicking the respective
or
or
icons under the Actions column.
Adding SKUs by Scanning:
- Click Products module. The Products section will be displayed. Click Stock Management, and select Stock Adjustment. You will be navigated to the Stock Management > Stock Adjustment page.
- Click Create Stock Adjustment. The following section will be displayed.
- Select the location at which stock needs to be adjusted, from the Location drop-down.
- Click Scan SKU(s) and scan one by one SKU with the previously connected scanner. When you click Scan SKU(s), then Stop Scan button will be displayed.
- While you are scanning the items, the list of items will be updated in the run-time under the Stock Adjustment Details section, but there will be no Actions column.
- Once you finish the scan, click Stop Scan. The list of scanned SKUs will be displayed under the Stock Adjustment Details section with an Actions column.
- You can view name of the shelf and the available quantity in the shelf under the Shelf and Current Quantity columns respectively.
- You can also observe the quantity to be adjusted under the Adjustment Qty column. By default, it will be 1 if the SKU is scanned once.
- Note: If a single product was scanned multiple times, the quantity of that product will be accordingly increased under the Adjustment Qty column. However, you can modify the quantity to be adjusted (if required).
- You need to select the 'mode of stock adjustment' and need to specify the 'reason' for the stock adjustment.
- You can also select another shelf (if required) or modify the quantity to be adjusted.
- To select the mode of stock adjustment or to modify the quantity to be adjusted or to modify the 'shelf' or to specify the reason for the stock adjustment, click the
icon of the product that you want to adjust under the Actions column. The following section will be displayed.
- Select the mode of adjustment from the Adjustment Mode drop-down.
- To increase the stock, select the Increase Stock option for increasing the stock.
OR
- To decrease the stock, select the Decrease Stock option for decreasing the stock.
- To change the shelf (if required), click change link of that shelf under the Shelf column. A Select Shelf dialog box will be displayed. Choose the required shelf and click Submit. The Select Shelf dialog box will be closed and the name of the selected shelf will be displayed under the Shelf column.
- Enter the reason for the stock adjustment in the Reason text box.
- To modify the quantity to be adjusted, enter or select the new quantity in the Adjustment Qty column.
- To update the stock adjustment, click the
icon under the Actions column. The stock will be updated and the final stock will be displayed in the Revised Stock column. You will be displayed a success message.
- Note: You can also close or cancel this stock adjustment by clicking the
icon under the Actions column.
- Now, the stock adjustment will be saved as draft mode and you can edit or delete the stock adjustment or SKUs of stock adjustment as per your requirement before confirming the stock adjustment. Once the stock adjustment is confirmed, you can't edit or delete it.
- Similarly, you can specify the mode of stock adjustment, or modify the quantity to be adjusted (if required), or modify the 'shelf' (if required) or specify the reason for stock adjustment by following the procedure as explained above.
- Now, the stock adjustment is saved in draft mode.
- If you feel the stock adjustment is final, click Confirm. The stock adjustment will be confirmed. And you will be displayed a relevant success message.
- Note: You can also confirm the stock adjustment in a later stage by clicking the
icon of the stock adjustment under the Actions column in the List of Stock Adjustments section.
- Then you will be navigated to the Stock Management > Stock Adjustment page. You can navigate to the newly created stock adjustment through the available search options and you can find the status of stock adjustment as Confirm.
- You can 'view' or 'print' or 'download' the stock adjustment by clicking the respective

icons under Actions column.
Bulk SKU Upload:
To create a stock adjustment, do the following:
- Click Products module. The Products section will be displayed. Click Stock Management, and select Stock Adjustment. You will be navigated to the Stock Management > Stock Adjustment page.
- Click Create Stock Adjustment. Then the following section will be displayed.
- Select the location at which stock needs to be adjusted, from the Location drop-down.
- To bulk SKU upload, click Bulk Upload. A Bulk SKU Upload dialog box will be displayed.
- Now, you need to download the default Excel format. To do so, click the click here link. The relevant Excel i.e. StockAdjustment_BulkUpload.xlsx will be downloaded.
- To open the Excel, double-click the same. The Excel will be opened as shown below:
- Update the Excel with corresponding data and save the Excel.
- Note: To add or reduce products, enter IncreaseStock or DecreaseStock in the AdjustmentMode column of the Excel.
- Click Browse in the Bulk SKU Upload dialog box. An Open dialog box will be displayed.
- Select the respective Excel and click Open. The dialog box will be closed and the name of the selected file will be displayed in the Upload Excel text box of Bulk SKU Upload dialog box. Click Upload. The Bulk SKU Upload dialog box will be closed and the respective valid SKUs will be updated to the stock adjustment. You will be displayed a success message.
- Now, it's in draft mode. You can modify or cancel the stock adjustment by clicking the

icons under the Actions column respectively.
- Once the stock adjustment is final, click Confirm. The stock adjustment will be confirmed and you will be displayed a relevant success message.
- Then you will be navigated to the Stock Management > Stock Adjustment page. You can navigate to this stock adjustment by clicking
icon and searching the 'Stock Adj No' or through the pager under the List of Stock Adjustments section and find the status as Confirm.
- You can 'view' or 'print' or 'download' the stock adjustment by clicking the respective

icons under the Actions column.
