• This interface facilitates to transfer the stock from one location to another location or within a location. The stock movement can also be done to any Vendor as per the requirement.

  • You can also move the stock of a GRN or Shelf (either completely or partially) of any location to other location or same location.

  • You can create the stock movement either for the individual SKUs or for the bulk SKUs.

  • You can save the stock movement as a draft any number of times and edit/delete as and when required. But, if you confirm the stock movement, neither it can be modified nor deleted.

  • Even after confirmation of a stock movement, the stock is not yet physically moved out. Hence the Inventory Moved Out column against the stock movement is displaying as No and the date of confirmation is shown in the Stock Transfer Date column.
  • When you physically move out the inventory, the merchant has to click the  Stock Movement icon of that stock movement under the Actions column. The Inventory Moved Out column is displaying as Yes and the date of inventory moved out will be shown in the Stock Transfer Date column.
  • You can also list out the available stock movements by searching through mandatory criteria.

How do I create a stock movement?


To create a stock movement, do the following:

  • Log in to the 'MartJack Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.


 Stock Movement

  • You will be navigated to the Dashboard page.

  • Click the  Stock Movement icon. The Products section will be displayed as shown in the figure.

  • Click Stock Management, and select Stock Movement. You will be navigated to the Stock Management > Stock Movement page.

a) Moving Stock between two different locations:

Note: Stock Movement can be created through:

  • i) Manually adding the SKUs
  • ii) Scanning the SKUs
  • iii) uploading Bulk Excel
  • iv) GRN Transfer
  • v) Bin Transfer

i) Manually Adding the SKUs:

  • By default, the Summary Mode will be selected from the View Type drop-down.
  • To move the stock between two locations, select Different Location from the Stock Transfer drop-down. Then Stock Transfer Type and To Location drop-downs will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • Select the location from where stock needs to move, from the Location drop-down.
  • If you want to transfer the stock select the Stock Transfer option from the Stock Transfer Type drop-down.
  • If you want to return the stock to a vendor, select the Return to Vendor option from the Stock Transfer Type drop-down.
    • Note:
      • You can also select the 'location' and 'stock transfer type' in next screen.
      • If you select Return to Vendor option, a Vendor Name text box will be displayed instead of the To Location drop-down, and you need to select the Vendor by clicking the Choose button of that text box.
  • Click Create Stock Movement. Then the following section will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • You can alter the 'from location' from the Location drop-down (if required).
  • You can alter the type of stock movement from the Stock Transfer Type drop-down (if required).
  • Select the 'to location' to where stock needs to move, from the To Location drop-down.
    • Note: If you select the Return to Vendor option, the Vendor Name text box will be displayed instead of the To Location drop-down, and you need to select the Vendor by clicking the Choose button of that text box.
  • To specify the stock transfer details (optional), click the  Stock Movement icon of the Stock Transfer Details. The following section will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • Enter the stock transfer number (optional) in the Stock Transfer No text box.
  • Select the stock transfer date (optional) from the Stock Transfer Date date picker.
  • To display the header text in the stock transfer report, enter the relevant text (optional) in the Stock Transfer Header text box.
  • To display the footer text in the stock transfer report, enter the relevant text (optional) in the Stock Transfer Footer text box.
  • To specify the additional details (optional), click the  Stock Movement icon of the Additional Details. Then the following section will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • Enter the name of the transporter (logistic service company) in the Transporter Name text box.
  • Enter the cost of transportation in the Transportation Cost text box.
  • Enter the vehicle number in the Vehicle No text box.
  • Enter the name of the diver in the Driver Name text box.
  • Enter the number of boxes received in the No. of Boxes text box.
  • Click Add SKU. The following section will be opened under the Stock Transfer Details section.


 Stock Movement

  • Enter the product SKU in the SKU/Variant SKU text box.
    • Note: In case of Variant product, enter the 'Variant SKU' in SKU/Variant SKU text box.
  • Click the Select link under the From Shelf column. The Select Shelf dialog box will be opened.


 Stock Movement

  • Select a shelf from which the stock to be moved and click Submit. The dialog box will be closed and the name of the selected shelf will be displayed under the From Shelf column.
    • Note: You can change the shelf (if required) by clicking the change link.


 Stock Movement

  • The available stock in the selected shelf will be displayed under the Available Quantity column.
  • Enter or select the quantity of stock to be moved in the Quantity column.
  • Enter or select the discount percentage on MRP in the Discount % column (optional) to show the Net MRP after deducting the discount value from the MRP.
  • To update the stock movement, click the  Stock Movement icon under Actions column. The product will be updated for this stock movement and you will be displayed a relevant success message.
    • Note: You can also close or cancel this stock movement (if required) by clicking the  Stock Movement icon under the Actions column.


 Stock Movement

  • You can observe that the stock is not yet updated. It will be updated after the GRN is confirmed.
  • Similarly, you can add more SKUs to this stock movement (if required) by clicking the 'Add SKU' button and following the procedure as explained above.
  • Now, the stock movement will be saved as a draft mode and you can edit or delete the stock movement or SKUs of stock movement as per your requirement before confirming the stock movement. Once the stock movement is confirmed, you can't edit or delete it.
  • If you leave this stock movement as it is, it will be considered as in a 'Draft' mode. If you want to confirm the stock movement, click Confirm. The stock movement will be confirmed. You will be displayed a relevant success message.
    • Note: You can also confirm it later by clicking the  Stock Movement icon of the stock movement under the List of Stock Movements section in the Stock Management > Stock Movement page.


 Stock Movement

  • Then you will be navigated to the Stock Management > Stock Movement page. You can navigate to this stock movement by clicking the  Stock Movement icon and searching the 'Stock Movement No' or through pager under the List of Stock Movements section and find the status as Confirm.


 Stock Movement

  • The stock movement is confirmed, but the stock is not yet physically moved out. Hence, the Inventory Moved Out column is displaying as No and the date of confirmation is shown in the Stock Transfer Date column.
  • When you physically move out the inventory, click the  Stock Movement icon of that stock movement under the Actions column. Then you will be displayed a success message for the inventory moved out. The  Stock Movement icon will be removed from the Actions column. The Inventory Moved Out column is displaying as Yes and the date of inventory moved out will be shown in the Stock Transfer Date column.


 Stock Movement

  • You can 'view' or 'print' or download 'Excel file' or download 'CSV file' of the stock movement by clicking the respective  Stock Movement or  Stock Movement or  Stock Movement or  Stock Movement icons under the Actions column.

ii) Adding SKUs by Scanning:

  • Click Stock Management, and select Stock Movement. You will be navigated to the Stock Management > Stock Movement page.


 Stock Movement

  • By default, the Summary Mode will be selected from the View Type drop-down.

  • Select the stock transfer date (optional) from the Stock Transfer Date date picker.
  • To display the header text in the stock transfer report pdf, enter the relevant text (optional) in the Stock Transfer Header text box.
  • To display the footer text in the stock transfer report pdf, enter the relevant text (optional) in the Stock Transfer Footer text box.
  • To specify the additional details (optional), click the  Stock Movement icon of the Additional Details. The following section will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • Enter the name of the transporter (logistic service company) in the Transporter Name text box.
  • Enter the cost of transportation in the Transportation Cost text box.
  • Enter the vehicle number in the Vehicle No text box.
  • Enter the name of the diver in the Driver Name text box.
  • Enter the number of boxes received in the No. of Boxes text box.
  • Click Scan SKU and scan one by one SKU with the previously connected scanner. When you click Scan SKU, the Stop Scan button will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • While you are scanning the items, the list of items will be updated in the run-time under the Stock Transfer Details section, but there will be no Actions column.
  • Once you finish the scan, click Stop Scan. The list of scanned SKUs will be displayed under the Stock Transfer Details section with the Actions column.


 Stock Movement

  • You can view name of the shelf and the available quantity in the shelf under the From shelf and Available Quantity columns respectively.
  • You can also observe the quantity to be moved under the Quantity column. By default, it will be 1 if the SKU is scanned once.
    • Note: If a single product was scanned multiple times, then the quantity of that product will be accordingly increased under Quantity column. However, you can modify the quantity to be moved (if required).
  • You can modify the shelf, quantity and update the discount. To do so, click the  Stock Movement icon of the product. The following section will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • To modify the shelf, click the change link under the From Shelf column. The Select Shelf dialog box will be opened.


 Stock Movement

  • Select a shelf from which the stock to be moved and click Submit. The dialog box will be closed and the name of the selected shelf will be displayed under the From Shelf column.
  • To modify the quantity to be moved, enter or select the quantity of the stock to be moved in the Quantity column.
  • Enter or select the discount percentage on MRP in the Discount % column (optional) to show Net MRP after deducting the discount value from MRP.
  • To update the stock movement, click the  Stock Movement icon under the Actions column. The product will be updated for this stock movement and you will be displayed a relevant success message.
    • Note: You can also close or cancel this stock movement (if required) by clicking the  Stock Movement icon under the Actions column.


 Stock Movement

  • You can observe that the stock is not yet updated. It will be updated after the GRN is confirmed.
  • Now the stock movement will be saved as draft mode and you can edit or delete the stock movement or SKUs of stock movement as per your requirement before confirming the stock movement. Once the stock movement is confirmed, you can't edit or delete it.

iii) Bulk SKU Upload:


You can also 'bulk upload' SKUs for this stock movement through an Excel.

  • Click Stock Management, and select Stock Movement. You will be navigated to the Stock Management > Stock Movement page.

  • Now you need to download the default Excel format. To do so, click the click here link. The relevant Excel i.e. StockMovement_BulkUpload_SKU_DifferentLocation.xlsx will be downloaded.
  • To open the Excel, double-click the same. The Excel will be opened as shown below:


 Stock Movement

  • Update the Excel with corresponding data and save the Excel.
  • Click Browse in the Bulk SKU Upload dialog box. An Open dialog box will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • Select the respective Excel and click Open. The dialog box will be closed and the name of the selected file will be displayed in the Upload Excel text box of the Bulk SKU Upload dialog box. Click Upload. The Bulk SKU Upload dialog box will be closed and the respective valid SKUs will be updated to the stock movement. You will be displayed a success message.


 Stock Movement

  • Now, the stock movement will be saved as draft mode and you can edit or delete the stock movement or SKUs of stock movement as per your requirement before confirming the stock movement. Once the stock movement is confirmed, you can't edit or delete it.
  • You can modify the shelf, quantity and update the discount. To do so, click the  Stock Movement icon of the product. The following section will be displayed.

To do the stock movement through the GRN transfer, do the following:

  • Click Stock Management, and select Stock Movement. You will be navigated to the Stock Management > Stock Movement page.

  • To move the stock between two locations, select the Different Location from the Stock Transfer drop-down. Then the Stock Transfer Type and To Location drop-downs will be displayed.

  • If you want to transfer the stock, select the Stock Transfer from the Stock Transfer Type drop-down.

  • Select a GRN of which you want to move the products and click Submit. The dialog box will be closed and you will be displayed a success message. The product(s) of the selected GRN will be displayed under the Stock Transfer Details section in the following grid.

  • Now the stock movement will be saved as draft mode and you can edit or delete the stock movement or SKUs of stock movement as per your requirement before confirming the stock movement. Once the stock movement is confirmed, you can't edit or delete it.

To do the stock movement through the bin transfer, do the following:

  • Select the stock transfer date (optional) from the Stock Transfer Date date picker.
  • To display the header text in the stock transfer report, enter the relevant text (optional) in the Stock Transfer Header text box.
  • To display the footer text in the stock transfer report, enter the relevant text (optional) in the Stock Transfer Footer text box.
  • To specify the additional details (optional), click the  Stock Movement icon of the Additional Details. Then the following section will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • Enter the name of the transporter (logistic service company) in the Transporter Name text box.
  • Enter the cost of transportation in the Transportation Cost text box.
  • Enter the vehicle number in the Vehicle No text box.
  • Enter the name of the diver in the Driver Name text box.
  • Enter the number of boxes received in the No. of Boxes text box.
  • Click Bin Transfer. Then the Bin Transfer dialog box will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • Click Select. Then the Select Shelf dialog box will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • Select required shelves from which you want to move the products and click Submit. The dialog box will be closed and the name(s) of the selected shelf will be displayed beside the From Shelf/Bin section.


 Stock Movement

  • You can clear the shelf selection (if required) by clicking the Clear link or you can choose another shelf (if required) by clicking the Change link.
  • Click Submit. The product(s) of the selected shelf will be displayed under the Stock Transfer Details section in the following grid.


 Stock Movement

  • Now, the stock movement will be saved as draft mode and you can edit or delete the stock movement or SKUs of stock movement as per your requirement before confirming the stock movement. Once the stock movement is confirmed, you can't edit or delete it.
  • You can modify the shelf, quantity and update the discount. To do so, click the  Stock Movement icon of the product. Then the following section will be displayed.

  • To modify the shelf, click change link under the From Shelf column. Then the Select Shelf dialog box will be opened.


 Stock Movement

  • Select a shelf from which the stock to be moved and click Submit. The dialog box will be closed and the name of the selected shelf will be displayed under the From Shelf column.
  • To modify the quantity to be moved, enter or select the quantity of stock to be moved in the Quantity column.
  • Enter or select the discount percentage on MRP in Discount % column (optional) to show the Net MRP after deducting the discount value from MRP.
  • To update the stock movement, click the  Stock Movement icon under the Actions column. The product will be updated for this stock movement and you will be displayed a relevant success message.
    • Note: You can also close or cancel this stock movement (if required) by clicking the  Stock Movement icon under the Actions column.


 Stock Movement

  • You can observe that the stock is not yet updated. It will be updated after the GRN is confirmed.
  • Now the stock movement will be saved as draft mode and you can edit or delete the stock movement or SKUs of stock movement as per your requirement before confirming the stock movement. Once the stock movement is confirmed, you can't edit or delete it.
  • If you leave this stock movement as it is, it will be considered as in 'Draft' mode. If you want to confirm the stock movement, click Confirm. The stock movement will be confirmed. You will be displayed a relevant success message.
    • Note: You can also confirm it in later stage by clicking the  Stock Movement icon of the stock movement under the List of Stock Movements section in the Stock Management > Stock Movement page.


 Stock Movement

  • Then you will be navigated to the Stock Management > Stock Movement page. You can navigate to this stock movement by clicking the  Stock Movement icon and searching the 'Stock Movement No' or through the pager under the List of Stock Movements section and find the status as Confirm.


 Stock Movement

  • The stock movement is confirmed, but the stock is not yet physically moved out. Hence, the Inventory Moved Out column is displaying as No and the date of confirmation is shown in the Stock Transfer Date column.
  • When you physically move out the inventory, click the  Stock Movement icon of that stock movement under the Actions column. Then you will be displayed success message for inventory moved out. The  Stock Movement icon will be removed from the Actions column. The Inventory Moved Out column is displaying as Yes and the date of inventory moved out will be shown in the Stock Transfer Date column.


 Stock Movement

  • You can 'view' or 'print' or download 'Excel file' or download 'CSV file' of the stock movement by clicking the respective  Stock Movement or  Stock Movement or  Stock Movement or  Stock Movement icons under the Actions column.

b) Moving Stock within a location:


Note: Stock Movement can be created through:

  • i) Manually adding SKUs
  • ii) Scanning the SKUs
  • iii) uploading Bulk Excel
  • iv) GRN Transfer
  • v) Bin Transfer

i) Manually Adding SKUs:


To create a stock within a location, do the following:

  • Log in to the 'MartJack Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.


 Stock Movement

  • You will be navigated to the Dashboard page.

  • Click the  Stock Movement icon. The Products section will be displayed as shown in the figure.


 Stock Movement

  • Click Stock Management, and select Stock Movement. You will be navigated to the Stock Management > Stock Movement page.

  • By default, the Summary Mode option will be selected from the View Type drop-down.
  • By default, the Within Location option will be selected from the Stock Transfer drop-down in the Stock Management > Stock Movement page.
  • Select the location from where the stock needs to be moved, from the Location drop-down.
  • Click Create Stock Movement. The following section will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • You can also change the location through the Location drop-down if required.
  • To add products manually, click Add SKU. The following section will be opened under the Stock Transfer Details section.
    • Note: Additionally, you can also observe To Shelf and Reason columns here.


 Stock Movement

  • Enter the product SKU in the SKU/Variant SKU text box.
    • Note: In the case of variant product, enter the 'Variant SKU' in the SKU/Variant SKU text box.
  • Click the Select link under the From Shelf column. The Select Shelf dialog box will be opened.


 Stock Movement

  • Select a shelf from which the stock to be moved and click Submit. The dialog box will be closed and the name of the selected shelf will be displayed under the From Shelf column.
    • Note: You can change the shelf (if required) by clicking the change link.


 Stock Movement

  • The available stock in the selected shelf will be displayed under the Available Quantity column.
  • Enter or select the quantity of stock to be moved in the Quantity column.
  • You need to select the shelf to which the stock to be moved. To do so, click Select link under the To Shelf column. The Select Shelf dialog box will be opened.


 Stock Movement

  • Select a shelf to which the stock to be moved and click Submit. The dialog box will be closed and the name of the selected shelf will be displayed under the To Shelf column.
    • Note: If you select a Bad shelf as 'To Shelf', the specifying the Reason is Mandatory.
    • You can also change the shelf (if required) by clicking the change link.


 Stock Movement

  • To update the stock movement, click the  Stock Movement icon under the Actions column. The product will be updated for this stock movement and you will be displayed a relevant success message.
    • Note: You can also close or cancel this stock movement (if required) by clicking the  Stock Movement icon under the Actions column.


 Stock Movement

  • Similarly, you can add more products to this stock movement by clicking the 'Add SKU' button and following the procedure as explained above.
  • You can observe that the stock is not yet updated. It will be updated after the GRN is confirmed.
  • Now the stock movement will be saved as draft mode and you can edit or delete the stock movement or SKUs of stock movement as per your requirement before confirming the stock movement. Once the stock movement is confirmed, you can't edit or delete it.
  • If you leave this stock movement as it is, it will be considered as in 'Draft' mode. If you want to confirm the stock movement, click Confirm. The stock movement will be confirmed. You will be displayed a relevant success message.
    • Note: You can also confirm it in later stage by clicking the  Stock Movement icon of the stock movement under the List of Stock Movements section in the Stock Management > Stock Movement page.

  • Then navigate to the Stock Management > Stock Movement page and verify the stock movement is listed under the List of Stock Movements section with the status as Confirm.

ii) Adding SKUs by Scanning:

  • Log in to the 'MartJack Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.

  • You can also change the location through the Location drop-down if required.
  • Click Scan SKU(s) and scan one by one SKU with the previously connected scanner. When you click the Scan SKU, the Stop Scan button will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • While you are scanning the items, the list of items will be updated in the run-time under the Stock Transfer Details section, but there will be no Actions column.
  • Once you finish the scan, click Stop Scan. The list of scanned SKUs will be displayed under the Stock Transfer Details section with the Actions column.


 Stock Movement

  • You can view name of the shelf and the available quantity in the shelf under the From shelf and Available Quantity columns respectively.
  • You can also observe the quantity to be moved under the Quantity column. By default, it will be 1 if the SKU is scanned once.
    • Note: If a single product was scanned multiple times, the quantity of that product will be accordingly increased under the Quantity column. However, you can modify the quantity to be moved (if required).
  • You need to select the 'to shelf' to which you want to move the stock.
  • To select the 'to shelf' to which you want to move the stock or to modify the quantity to be moved or to modify the 'from shelf', click the  Stock Movement icon of the product that you want to move under the Actions column. The following section will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • You can also click the change link of a shelf (if required) under the From Shelf column and select another shelf from which the quantity to be moved.
  • You can modify the quantity that you want to move under the Quantity column (if required) by selecting or entering the new quantity.
  • You need to select the shelf to which the stock to be moved. To do so, click the Select link under the To Shelf column. Then the Select Shelf dialog box will be opened.


 Stock Movement

  • Select a shelf to which the stock to be moved and click Submit. The dialog box will be closed and the name of the selected shelf will be displayed under the To Shelf column.
    • Note: If you select a Bad shelf as 'To Shelf', then the specifying the Reason is Mandatory.

  • Now you need to download the default Excel format. To do so, click the click here link. The relevant Excel i.e. StockMovement_BulkUpload_SKU.xlsx will be downloaded.
  • To open the Excel, double-click the same. The Excel will be opened as shown below:

  • Update the Excel with corresponding data and save the Excel.
  • Click Browse in the Bulk SKU Upload dialog box. An Open dialog box will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • Select the respective Excel and click Open. The dialog box will be closed and the name of the selected file will be displayed in the Upload Excel text box of the Bulk SKU Upload dialog box. Click Upload. The Bulk SKU Upload dialog box will be closed and the respective valid SKUs will be updated to the stock movement.

  • All the added SKUs are listed under the Stock Transfer Details section.
  • You can edit the 'from shelf', quantity, 'to shelf', and reason against each SKU if required. To do so, click the  Stock Movement icon of the product under the Actions column. The following section will be displayed.

  • To modify the 'from shelf', click the change link under the From Shelf and proceed.
  • To modify the quantity to be moved, select or enter the new quantity in the Quantity column.
  • To modify the 'to shelf', click the change link under the To Shelf and proceed.
  • To modify the reason, update the same in the Reason text box.
  • To update the details, click the  Stock Movement icon of the SKU under the Actions column. The product will be updated for this stock movement and you will be displayed a relevant success message.
    • Note: You can also close or cancel this stock movement (if required) by clicking the  Stock Movement icon under the Actions column.

  • Similarly, update stock movement for all the added products.
  • You can observe that the stock is not yet updated. It will be updated after the GRN is confirmed.
  • Now, the stock movement will be saved as draft mode and you can edit or delete the stock movement or SKUs of stock movement as per your requirement before confirming the stock movement. Once the stock movement is confirmed, you can't edit or delete it.

  • Select a GRN of which you want to move the products and click Submit. The product(s) of the selected GRN will be displayed under the Stock Transfer Details section in the following grid.

  • You can view the total GRN quantity and available quantity in the shelf (i.e. From Shelf) under the Received Qty. and Available Quantity columns respectively.
    • Note:
      • You can only move the lowest quantity of the Received Qty. and Available Quantity columns.
  • You can delete the products which are not required through the respective  Stock Movement icons under the Actions column.
  • For doing the stock movement, you need to specify the quantity to be moved, to shelf, reason (if 'to shelf' is bad shelf). To do so, click the  Stock Movement icon of the product that you want to move under the Actions column. The following section will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • You can find the change link under the From Shelf column if the products of the selected GRN are placed in multiple shelves. By clicking the change link, you can select another shelf (if required).
  • Select or enter the quantity that you want to move under the Quantity column.
  • Now, you need to select the 'to shelf' to which you want to move the stock. To do so, click Select under the To Shelf column. A Select Shelf dialog box will be displayed.


 Stock Movement

  • Select the required shelf and click Submit. The Select Shelf dialog box will be closed and the name of the selected shelf will be displayed under the To Shelf column with a change link.


 Stock Movement

  • By clicking the change link, you can select another shelf (if required).
  • Click the  Stock Movement icon under the Actions column. The product will be updated for this stock movement and you will be displayed a relevant success message.
    • Note: You can also close or cancel this stock movement (if required) by clicking the  Stock Movement icon under the Actions column.

  • Similarly, update the stock movement for rest of the products by clicking the  Stock Movement icon of the respective products under the Actions column.

  • Now, the stock movement will be saved as draft mode and you can edit or delete the stock movement or SKUs of stock movement as per your requirement before confirming the stock movement. Once the stock movement is confirmed, you can't edit or delete it.
  • If you leave this stock movement as it is, it will be considered as in the 'Draft' mode. If you want to confirm the stock movement, click Confirm. The stock movement will be confirmed. You will be displayed a relevant success message.

  • You can change the 'from shelf', the quantity to be moved, the 'to shelf' and the reason (if the 'to shelf' is a bad shelf). To do so, click the  Stock Movement icon of the product that you want to move under the Actions column. Then the following section will be displayed.
