How do I create and manage shelves of a zone?
To create and manage shelves of a zone, do the following:
- Log in to the 'MartJack Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.
- You will be navigated to the Dashboard page.
- Click the
icon. The Products section will be displayed as shown in the figure.
- Click Stock Management, and select Manage/Create Shelf/Bins. You will be navigated to the Stock Management > Manage Shelves page.
- You can find the list of previously created shelves (if any) under the List of Available Shelves section.
- You can find the status of the shelves in the Status column.
- You can also find the
,
icons (if shelves are there) for editing or deleting the shelf under the Actions column.
- Note: The
icon will not be displayed if the shelf is a Default Shelf/Bin for Inward Process or Default Shelf/Bin for Return or both.
Creating Shelf/Bin
- To create a new shelf/bin, click Create New Shelf/Bin. Then Stock Management > Add/Edit Shelf page will be displayed.
- Enter the code for the shelf in the Shelf/Bin Code text box.
- Enter the description of the shelf in the Shelf/Bin Description text box.
- Enter the capacity of the shelf in pieces or units in the Shelf/Bin Capacity text box.
- Select the location of the zone for which you are creating a shelf from the Zone Location drop-down.
- Select the code of zone for which you are creating a shelf from the Zone code drop-down.
- Select the condition of the shelf from the Shelf/Bin Condition drop-down. The available options are: Good or Bad
- Select the type of the shelf from the Shelf/Bin Type drop-down. The available options are - Good QC, Bad QC, Inward, Bulk, and Return.
- Select the status of the shelf through the Active or Inactive radio buttons of the Shelf/Bin Status section.
- Now you can save the shelf or you can define the additional features and save.
- To define additional details, click the
icon of the Additional Details (Other Details) section.
- Enter the aisle number in the Aisle No text box.
- Note: Aisle is a passageway for inside traffic, as in a department store, warehouse, or supermarket.
- Enter the sequence number in the Sequence No text box.
- Enter the maximum weight that can be sustainable on the shelf in the Weight Capacity text box.
- Enter the width of the shelf in the Width text box.
- Enter the height of the shelf in the Height text box.
- Enter the length of the shelf in the Length text box.
- Enter the 'X' coordinate of the shelf in the Shelf/Bin X Coordinate text box.
- Enter the 'Y' coordinate of the shelf in the Shelf/Bin Y Coordinate text box.
- Enter the 'Z' coordinate of the shelf in the Shelf/Bin Z Coordinate text box.
- To make the shelf as a default shelf for inbound, select the Yes radio button of the Default Shelf/Bin for Inward Process section.
- Note: All inward products can be placed in the Default Shelf/Bin for Inward Process section.
- There can be a single Default Shelf/Bin for Inbound in any location.
- To make the shelf as a default shelf for return process, select the Yes radio button of the Default Shelf/Bin for Return section.
- Note: Products returned through 'customer return' or 'logistic return' can be placed in the Default Shelf/Bin for Return section.
- There can be a single Default Shelf/Bin for Return in any location.
- To create the Shelf, click Save. The shelf will be created and listed under the List of Available Shelves section.
Editing a Shelf:
- To edit a shelf, first you need to navigate to that shelf by clicking the
icon and searching through the relevant option or by page wise search.
- Then click the
icon of the shelf under the Actions column. Then Stock Management > Add/Edit Shelf page will be displayed.
- Except 'Shelf/Bin Code', 'Zone Location', and 'Zone Code', you can edit all the fields. You can also modify the additional details by clicking the
icon of the Additional Details (Other Details) section.
- Note: If you select the Inactive radio button for an 'Active Shelf', the status of that shelf will be inactivated after clicking the Save button.
- You can also modify additional details by clicking the
icon of the Additional Details (Other Details) section.
- If you want to change the default status of a shelf for inbound and return, select respective radio buttons against Default Shelf/Bin for Inward Process and Default Shelf/Bin for Return in the Additional Details (Other Details) section. When some other shelf is already marked as Default Shelf/Bin for Inward Process or Default Shelf/Bin for Return, you will be displayed a notification as displayed below after clicking the Save button.
- In this scenario, if you click Save button, the current shelf will be set as Default Shelf/Bin for Inward Process or Default Shelf/Bin for Return or both as per the applicability.
- Click Save. Your changes will be updated.
Deleting a Shelf:
- To delete a shelf, first you need to navigate to that shelf by clicking the
icon and searching through relevant option or by page wise search.
- Then click the
icon of the Shelf under the Actions column. Then the shelf will be deleted. You will be displayed a relevant success message.
