How do I define rules for my catalog?
To define rules for your catalog, do the following:
- Log in to the 'Anywhere Commerce Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.
- You will be navigated to the Dashboard page. Click the Products module.
- Click (or mouse over) the Catalog Rules tab and select the Rule Configuration tab. You will be navigated to the Catalog Rules > Manage Rules page.
- You can verify the existing rules (if any) under the Available Rules section.
- To create a new rule, click Create New Rule. You will be navigated to the Catalog QC Rules > Add/Edit Catalog Rule page.
- Enter the title of the rule in the Rule Name text box.
- Enter the description of the rule in the Rule Description text box.
- In the case of the rule is overlapped with any rule, mention the name of the overlapped rule in the Overlapped Rules text box.
- Note: In the case of multiple overlapped rules, enter them comma separated.
- Enter the error message to be displayed in the case of an error while executing the rule, in the Error Message text box.
i) Creating the rules with either the 'and' or the 'or' criteria between the rules:
- If you want to create the rules with either the 'and' or the 'or' criteria between the rules, click the
button and select any rule. The following options are available:
- Click the required rule - for example, Image. The following section will be displayed. If no rules are to be added further, click Save to save the rule.
- If you want to add more rules, click the
button and select the respective rule - for example, Title Length. The following section will be displayed.
- Select a suitable option from the corresponding drop-down and enter/select the value respective text box. If no rules are to be added further, click Save to save the rule.
- Note: You can also toggle between And and OR buttons as per your requirement.
- Similarly, if you want to add more rules, click the
button and select the respective rule - for example, Size. The following section will be displayed.
- Select a suitable option from the corresponding drop-down and enter/select the value respective text box. If no rules are to be added further, click Save to save the rule.
- Similarly, if you want to add more rules, click the
button and select the respective rule - for example, Key Words. The following section will be displayed.
- Select a suitable option from the corresponding drop-down and enter/select the value respective text box. If no rules are to be added further, click Save to save the rule.
- Similarly, if you want to add more rules, click the
button and select the respective rule - for example, Category. The following section will be displayed.
- Select a suitable option from the corresponding drop-down and select the required category from the respective list box. If no rules are to be added further, click Save to save the rule.
- Similarly, if you want to add more rules, click the
button and select the respective rule - for example, Location. The following section will be displayed.
- Select a suitable option from the corresponding drop-down and select the required location from the respective list box. If no rules are to be added further, click Save to save the rule.
- Similarly, if you want to add more rules, click the
button and select the respective rule - for example, Price. The following section will be displayed.
- Select a suitable option from the corresponding drop-down and enter/select the value respective text box. If no rules are to be added further, click Save to save the rule.
ii) Creating the complex rules by adding multiple groups:
- Note: You can add complex rules by adding multiple groups with 'and'/'or' criteria, adding the required rules in each group, and applying the 'and'/'or' criteria between the groups.
- Please refer the procedure explained for creating the rules with either the 'and' or the 'or' criteria between the rules. Let's say you have created a rule as mentioned below.
- Now you want to add a group. To create a group for adding some rules to the group, click the
button. The following section will be displayed, where you can add the required number of rules.
- You can toggle between And and OR buttons as per your requirement as mentioned in the above screenshot.
- Create the required number of rules as explained for creating the rules with either the 'and' or the 'or' criteria between the rules. Let's say you have created the following rules under the group.

- You can also add another group (if required) and add the required rules in it.
- You can also delete a rule or group by clicking the respective
- To save the rule, click Save. The rule will be saved and you will be displayed a relevant success message.
How do I edit an existing rule?
To edit an existing rule, do the following:
- Log in to the 'Anywhere Commerce Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.
- You will be navigated to the Dashboard page. Click the Products module.
- Click (or mouse over) the Catalog Rules tab and select the Rule Configuration tab. You will be navigated to the Catalog Rules > Manage Rules page.
- You can verify the existing rules under the Available Rules section.
- To edit an existing rule, click it's
icon under the Actions column. You will be navigated to the Catalog QC Rules > Add/Edit Catalog Rule page.
- Edit the rule as per your requirement by following the procedure as explained while defining the rules for your catalog. To save the rule, click Save. The rule will be saved.
How do I delete an existing rule?
To delete an existing rule, do the following:
- Log in to the 'Anywhere Commerce Control Panel' by using your User Name (Email Address) and Password.
- You will be navigated to the Dashboard page. Click the Products module.
- Click (or mouse over) the Catalog Rules tab and select the Rule Configuration tab. You will be navigated to the Catalog Rules > Manage Rules page.
- You can verify the existing rules under the Available Rules section.
- To delete an existing rule, click it's
icon under the Actions column. You will be asked for confirmation to delete the rule through a dialog box.
- Click OK. The dialog box will be closed, the rule will be deleted and you will be displayed a relevant success message.
